Fall Of Efrafa was an epic, concept "post-hardcore" band from Brighton, United Kingdom formed in 2005. I use the term post-hardcore loosely, as they incorporate neo-crust, d-beat, sludge, hardcore punk, post-rock and even black metal in their songs. Whatever you want to call them, they will surely go down as one of the very best bands at it.
The concept behind the band was based loosely around their own interpretation of the Mythology in the novel “Watership Down” by Richard Adams. The band created a trilogy of records known collectively as “The Warren of Snares," that tells the story. The narrative behind the lyrics followed a society on the brink of social collapse, under a theocratic rule. An uprising occurs in the face of a greater enemy.
